Henry's Reprimand
Twenty-eight-year-old Henry was reprimanded by his councillors for keeping company with ‘young men in his privy chamber not regarding his estate nor degree, who were so familiar and homely with him, and played such light touches with him that they forget themselves. Defeated Francis is Friendly to Henry
Francis proposed a meeting with Henry near Calais to demonstrate to Charles the friendship between the Kings of England and France. He proposed August or September but Wolsey, while receiving objections from Charles, decided that more time was needed to make arrangements and opted for the summer of the following year.
