Cranmer Accused of Heresy

Archbishop Thomas Cranmer was accused of heresy but kept the king’s confidence. He consequently accepted the changes proposed to revise the Bishop’s Book which afterwards became known as the Kings Book. He also accepted a parliamentary statute that restricted the reading of the Bible to men over the rank of yeoman

Treaties of Greenwich

Henry and commissioners from Scotland agreed the Treaties of Greenwich which stipulated that ‘neither Prince shall make or procure war upon the other or his confederates, or do anything to the hurt of the other’ and in the second part sanctioned the terms for the marriage of Prince Edward and Mary Queen of Scots

Henry’s Sixth Wife Catherine Parr
Catherine begun a romantic friendship with Sir Thomas Seymour, the brother of the late queen Jane Seymour, however to secure his own influence after the king’s death Seymour persuaded Catherine to marry the king and marshal him through the rest of his reign – Seymour married Catherine a few months after Henry’s death
